Tipis at Timber Ridge

Tipis at Timber Ridge will provide you with a  unique style of camping.  We have a tipi structure which have wooden floors, rugs, and a kingbird size bed inside. We are located in Hocking County, within the beautiful rolling hills of southeast Ohio.   Guests will have access to paddle boarding, peddle boating, fishing, corn hole and so much more. Tipis at Timber Ridge is a unique camping experience for all ages and will allow you to do what you want the most–relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

 

Description the Tipi Structure 

This wooden tipi structure is 18 foot tall, and can sleep up to four people on a king size bed and two individual mattresses. The mattresses will have sheets on them as well as a blanket or comforter. The tipi has wooden floors with rugs and an end table.  The tipi has its own fire ring with adjustable cooking grate, picnic table, and two wooden camp chairs.  There are also trash cans close by each tipi.  Just steps from your tipi’s front door, a serene pond awaits.  The pond is stocked with bass, crapy, and blue gill. Relax and enjoy some catch and release fishing.  Every angle you look is a  beautiful view of the great outdoors and its wealth of wildlife including birds, deer, wild turkeys and more.   You never know what Ohio critters you might find. There is also a large dock with bench seating.

Campsites are primitive.  There is a Port-A-Jon on site.   Campers will have 24 hour access to the shower house/changing room.  The shower house has a hot water shower,  a sink, and changing benches.

 

Location + Surroundings

Tipis at Timber Ridge is rich in local history. The  charm of the Hocking Hills transports campers to another world, where the woods have a magical way of restoring the soul, sending guests back home refreshed and renewed.  This is a great place for families to reconnect and just enjoy some of God’s most beautiful creation.  We are just a short half hour drive to the Old  Man’s Cave area.

This unique experience is fun for both couples and families with kids of all ages.
